Gender-Based Violence

Gender-Based Violence (GBV) refers to any harmful act inflicted on a person because of their gender. It includes physical, sexual, emotional, and economic abuse. GBV violates human rights, causes long-term physical and psychological harm, and prevents individuals—especially women and girls—from living safe, healthy, and dignified lives. Ending GBV requires awareness, legal protection, support services, and collective community action.
